Jazan Governor Releases Gazelles, Promotes Wildlife Conservation in Farasan Islands
Jazan Region Governor Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz yesterday released Farasan gazelles into the Farasan Islands Protected Area, accompanied by National Center for Wildlife CEO Mohammed Qurban.
During his visit, the governor was briefed on the reserve's key wildlife development programs, efforts to preserve ecosystems and biodiversity, and its rich natural and marine resources. Specialists from the center outlined ongoing initiatives to conserve the islands' biodiversity and develop their natural habitats.
The governor praised the leadership's support for the environmental sector and the National Center for Wildlife's role in achieving national integration, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to protect the Farasan Islands, one of the Kingdom's richest areas in marine and terrestrial biodiversity.
