Visual Arts Commission Launches ‘Intermix Residency’ Program in London in Collaboration with Delfina Foundation

The Visual Arts Commission announced the launch of the “Intermix Residency” program in collaboration with the Delfina Foundation in London, as part of its ongoing efforts to support the development of artistic practices, strengthen the international presence of Saudi artists, and expand their participation in global artist residency programs.
The program is a three-month artist residency held in a research-driven and collaborative environment that brings together artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, contributing to artistic dialogue and the exchange of professional expertise across various international contexts.
Selected Saudi artists will participate alongside six international artists from different regions worldwide, in addition to participating artists from the United Kingdom. The program offers dedicated studio spaces, mentorship, and professional development programs, as well as group and individual activities that support the development of artistic practice and the building of professional networks within an international arts ecosystem.
This year, Delfina’s program focuses primarily on themes of national identity and cultural dialogue, exploring artists’ personal experiences and their relationship to artistic practice, while highlighting the role of creative communities in supporting artists and providing spaces for collaboration and professional exchange.
This partnership reflects the Visual Arts Commission’s commitment to strengthening international cultural exchange opportunities and enabling Saudi artists to engage in global artistic environments that contribute to developing their practices and expanding their creative horizons.
The residency is scheduled to take place from January to March 2026 in London, enhancing the presence of Saudi artists in the international arts scene and supporting their continued participation in global residency programs.
